All this petty worry
While the great cloak of the sky grows dark and intense round every living thing.
What is precious
Inside us does not care to be known by the mind in ways that diminish its presence.
What we strive for in perfection
Is not what turns us into the lit angel we desire.
What disturbs
then nourishes has everything we need.
What we hate in ourselves
Is what we cannot know in ourselves
but what is true to the pattern does not need to be explained.
Inside everyone is a great shout of joy waiting to be born.
Even with the summer so far off I feel it grown in me now and ready to arrive in the world.
All those years
Forgetting how everything has its own voice to make itself heard.
All those years
Forgetting how easily you can belong to everything simply by listening.
And the slow difficulty
of remembering how everything is born from an opposite and miraculous otherness.
Silence and winter has led me to that otherness.
So let this winter of listening be enough for the new life I must call my own.

"YARN-BOMBING"
We have permission from the RSL to proceed with decorations for ANZAC DAY. We are not allowed to decorate the Oak Trees in the Avenue of Honour, but we can do a lost anything else. So, what we plan is to make hundreds of red "poppies" and place them on stalks in front of the library.
The plan is to make them out of red wool, using curtain rings as a base – just like a miniature version of the Christmas Wreaths. If you can't get to the Friday Sessions, then just do them at home and deliver them to us.

HOW ABOUT AFFILIATING IN THE NEW YEAR?
You have been teaching for some time now, have a full book in your classes? The next step is to apply for affiliation with us so that you can be a teacher training centre where you are. We still do all the modules, the theory, but you get to teach the asanas, techniques – the hands-on stuff.
It is the natural progression, and you can set your own rates, your own school name etc – just under our banner. Think about it and get back to me.

SEED CARDS – a gift that keeps on giving.
Instead of buying cards, sit down with the children and make your own. For a very special touch, buy packets of tiny seeds divide them up, and put them in little tiny envelopes you have made yourself with a see through paper. Staple the envelopes to your cards, and voila! You have a useful SEED CARD. When the seeds grow the recipient will always think of you.

"DUNIERA": From March this year for 8 weeks, I will be holding the Tuesday evening class at Duniera, a fabulous old mansion on Mt.Macedon. You won't often get the opportunity to do your yoga in such splendid surroundings (actually the kitchen alone is large enough to have a class in, just by itself). The cost of the class is $20 because custodial staff needs to be employed to watch that we don't run off with the paintings, or drapes. This is a one off, so take advantage of this opportunity.
YOGA TEACHER TRAINING MORNING: Wednesday 8th December at 9am (not 9.30). Please make every effort to be there, the classes are getting better and better. Much more participation and discussion. This will be our last before the new year. The next one will be Wednesday 8th January.
HOLIDAY TIMETABLE: The first class back in the new year will be Monday 6th January – usual timetable. The first Teacher Training for the new year will be the 8th January.
THE TEACHER TRAINING VIDEOS
This morning I videotapes a quite long instructional video on 3 MINUTE MEDITATION technique. Over the time I have been video'ing, the discipline has morphed (thanks to your feedback), from a video of me doing something, to various videos incorporating the teacher training requirements you have requested. The more feedback you give me, the better I will be at doing what you are looking for.

I also have a short quiz there which will give you a clue if you are Gluten Intolerant. This is just a short Q and A, but if you answer "Yes" to all the questions or even half, it will point you in the right direction.

THE GARDEN:
It is terribly cold after a couple of days of quite warm. No wonder the blueberries don't like it! The Marionberries however don't care about the weather and I have been picking abut 700gms a day. What a fabulous bounty. My Jerusalem artichokes are doing well, blackcurrants are limping after a very hard prune, so I expect they will do better next year. Hops, hazelnuts, cherries, new raspberry patch, all kindergarteners. Thankgoodness I always have herbs and weeds enough for a gorgeous salad all year, however, now I have a bee hive, I am expecting great things for next year. My elderberries have been suffering from lack of bees so next year I am looking forward to a bumper crop. I have ordered "THE SHAMANIC WAY OF THE BEE". JAHNE'S MENTORING SESSIONS – "Step4th Mentoring"
Because Jahne has been teaching yoga for more than 40 years, and running a business the Buddhist way for much longer than that (and successfully) she is often asked for advice. Asking course questions is free, but, if you wish to have Jahne help you with relationships, career, or just getting personally "unstuck" then that is coaching/mentoring and does come with a cost. Her charge per half hour for mentoring is $75 and $65 for student teachers. It is amazing how much you can shift in half an hour when you strip away the unnecessary chatter. It's the Buddhist way.

I met our local member at our post office the other day. She was on hold so I didn't want to bother her, but she will be back this week, and I plan to be a bit of a bother. Actually I think we both are pushing the same barrow. Food in the Shire. Wastage, sugar, fat. Like me, she is persona-non-grata at the council.
